Acid Alert!

More common than ever before tooth erosion occurs when tooth enamel is dissolved by acid, causing sensitivity, yellowing and pitted or worn teeth.

Many foods and beverages are to blame - juice, sports drinks and carbonated drinks and  citrus fruits.

What to do to protect your tooth's enamel?

  • Avoid sugary and acidic drinks or use a straw to reduce contact with the teeth
  • Finish meals with an neutralizing glass of milk or piece of cheese
  • After consuming anything acidic wait one hour before brushing

Our team can alert you to any signs of erosion to make sure it is repaired quickly and easily.  Please call us if you have any questions or concerns.
